Bondage can – very effectively in fact – be used as a form of confinement. And, with a few tricks, it can be extremely potent, mentally especially.

The first important thing, when using bondage for confinement purposes, is to use the bondage to tie the slave to something. This basically can be anything. Various aspects are important, especially when it comes to intensifying the situation.

Most importantly however: your bondage should be “incomplete”. By this we mean that the slave should have a (very limited) ability to move about. Like for example leaving her feet untied, so that she can move them. This will dramatically increase the feeling of being confined and unable to go anywhere.

Adding other physical discomfort may be an option (such as the use of nipple clamps) but the main objective is the confinement itself and the fact that (at least for – quite – a while) nothing is going to happen. The better you are able to drive the loneliness and the lack of any attention home, the more ejective your confinement bondage will be.

The most important credo for bondage confinement: the less action, the better.

Out of Context

There is absolutely no reason why you should not be cruel. In fact, a firm dose of mental cruelty will dramatically increase the desired effects. One of the very helpful means you have to do this is the environment. If – for example – you tie her up in the dungeon and leave her there, you create a situation where there is a lot of mental stimulation and the fantasies can go wild. And that is not what you want!

Being bored and alone with nowhere to go is an essential part of confinement, so what you want to try and do is to tie her up in an environment that is as sterile or as out of context as possible. Guest bed rooms, the bathroom or even inside a cupboard are usually the preferred locations.

Not allowing her the blessing of a blindfold is another way to dramatically increase the effect of the confinement.

This again means she has little or no options to try and escape her fate – which is being left alone with no attention at all – and that, usually, is exactly what you want to do.

As time progresses a variety of discomforts will kick in automatically, from an itchy nose to having to go to the toilet, so the dominant does not need to do much and just let time do the work for him.

And there will be the boredom of just standing there (most dominants prefer a standing position for bondage confinement) with nothing to do but simply wait until master will finally come to free her.

Intensifying

If you thought having to sleep next to the bed on the floor is a tough form of confinement (and actually it is) try keeping her in a standing bondage next to the bed for the entire night.

Quite a few experienced dominants consider this to be a highly effective punishment for extreme situations, such as when having to deal with a bratty sub or a very serious offense.

She will be tired, bored, alone and sleeping is impossible. You are likely to wake up and find a very docile slave, who now understands that – whatever it was that triggered a punishment like this – she shouldn’t even try and do this anymore.

Do make sure that, when you enter into bondage confinement and it is going to last for a while, the bondage is such that she cannot fall.

Having to stand for any length of time is difficult and may easily lead to fainting. Even experienced and trained soldiers sometimes have a problem with having to to stand still for a long period of time (and something like two hours van be very, very long).
