Keeping Score, especially when it comes to novice slaves – dealing with their offenses and lack of training can be very demanding for their masters, especially if every offense is to be countered with a punishment.
This is where a score list comes in handy. It is practical as well as humiliating. Plus it deals with one of the major problems with novice slaves: trading offenses for punishments.
One of the hardest things to teach a slave is that a punishment is not a “payment” for the offense. Most novice slaves are under the assumption that they can get away with offending the rules, because they “pay” for their offenses with punishments. While of course the general idea is that they should not commit offenses, or at least try very hard not to. Also, they should learn to understand that – when they need to be punished – they are not actually being punished for the individual offense, but because they have failed their master and themselves.
The other problem – with novice slaves as well as smart-assed slaves – is that it can be a pain in the ass for the dominant partner to have to counter every offense with a punishment instantly. That too is largely being dealt with by introducing a scoring system.
So how does it work?
Well, basically a scoring system is a system with penalty points. A specific number of penalty points is put on each offense or rule-infraction. This requires a bit of administration in the beginning, but things will rapidly become a lot easier. Below is an example of an actual penalty point system, designed for novice slave “d” (.a.k.a. “bitch”):
• Speaking without prior permission – 5 points
• Smoking – 5 points
• Using furniture – 5 points
• Playing with yourself – 10 points
• Being late – 10 points per 15 minutes or part
• Cumming without permission – 20 points
• Begging for use or sex – 25 points
The idea is to let the slave do the bookkeeping (in the beginning especially the dominant partner will have to do that too, in order to check up on her honesty and random honesty checks at a later stage are advised, so she knows she may be checked). Next a punishment system is being set up. In the case of slave “d”, who got to visit her dominant every weekend, the system was designed in such a way that she would receive the punishment – acquired in the week before – immediately upon arrival. This was the corresponding punishment system:
• For each five penalty points – one cane stroke on the buttocks
• Should the total exceed ten cane strokes, but be less than 20, cane strokes 11 – 15 will be delivered on the left palm, cane strokes 16 – 20 will be delivered on the right palm
• Should the total exceed twenty cane strokes, but be less than 30, cane strokes 21 – 25 will be delivered on the left sole, cane strokes 26 – 30 will be delivered on the right sole
• Should the total exceed 30 cane strokes, the remaining cane strokes will be delivered on the back of the legs
As you can see, punishments in this system are no longer tied to individual offenses or infractions. Instead. if her behavior deteriorates, not only will she acquire more penalty points – hence will have to deal with a painful caning, but the punishment itself will also intensify as more points (hence strokes) are acquired. In other words, it pays off to behave and generally perform as required.
The Effects
The effects – largely described above – are obvious. But …. there is more to it. Having to keep a score list (and hanging it in a visible spot in the house) is a very poignant signal. To have to keep the score yourself is both humiliating as well as enlightening to the slave, especially when it comes to learning the right mind set.
Besides, since there is no immediate response to an infraction – the risk of “soliciting for punishment since it arouses” is also largely minimized.
Finally, a scoring system also works miracles in the “focusing” area. Especially in cases where there cannot (yet) be day to day contact the score list will work as a catalyst for the slave’s attention and will keep her focused on (the demands of) her master.
