One Rope Bondage

This is very simple, and very effective, one rope bondage, designed to introduce you to the techniques of looping and splitting. You need: one willing partner and one ten meter/yard rope (or the equivalent from your personal rope set). Here is your step by step guide.

Step 1

Double up your rope.

Have your partner stand with his/her wrists next to the waist on either side of the body. Wrap the rope around the body AND arms once and pull both end through the loop on the back.

Make sure the loop will be on either the left or the right side of the spine, not on it. (Use your fingers to feel the indentation on either side of the vertebrae. That is where you want the loop.)

Pull the rope until your first wrap is nice and straight, but not tight. You’ll need some room between the wrists and the torso later!

Step 2

Repeat the above process one time.

This wrap should be above your first one.

Pull both ends of the rope through the newly formed loop.

Make sure the tension of both windings is even and not tight and make sure all rope windings are neatly aligned next to each other and not over each other or twisted.

Step 3

Now split you rope ends.

One end goes to the right, in between the torso and the arm over the topside of your previous windings.

Do the same on the left side of the body.

You’ll find that your rope will stay in place easily.

If it slips a bit, that is no problem.

The tightness of the bondage will emerge automatically in the next step.

Step 4

Wind the ends three or four times around the body ropes in between the arm and the body on either side of the body.

Make sure your windings are next to each other.

Now here is the trick.

The more windings you make here, the tighter the bondage will become.

When done, bring both ends to the center of the back and tie them, using a reef knot.

Again, make sure the knot ends up next to, not on the spine.

Step 5

Feed both rope ends under the body wraps, from bottom towards the top.

If these windings are tight, work two fingers under the ropes and feed the ends through, in between your spread fingers.

You’ll find this is an easy way to work in tight areas.

Even though it mey feel “tight”, especially if bondage is new to you, actually tightness is not an issue here. The design of the bondage is such that is will more or less automatically adjust itself to the body as time progresses.

Step 6

Now feed both ends back down, over the body wraps but under the reef knot.

Both ends go in between the legs – one on either side of the vagina or penis!!! – and back up again over the tummy.

Don’t pull this too tight.

That will only be very uncomfortable and painful and no fun.

The objective here is to make sure the bondage stays in place.

Step 7

Feed the ends under the body windings angain and bring each end to one side.

Again, tightness is not really an issue here.

A hint: if your partner is a man who has been sterilized, be extra careful as far as tightness is concerned.

The ropes on either side of the penis are likely to touch the – always sensitive – small patches of internal scar tissue.

Being too rough on these is very painful and will quickly put and end to all your fun.

Many people think a bondage should bu uncomfortable.

Well .. a substantial part of the discomfort comes from being restrained and the frustration of not being able to do what you want to do.

You’ll be amazed how restrictive even the simplest of bondage are once your nose starts to itch (and it will, just because you can’t scratch!!!)

Other things, such as not being able to sip from the cup of coffee infront of you, also add to the frustration.

Step 8

Loop the end under itself once on either side of the body and pull the towards the windings between the body and arms.

This is an excellent moment to check for tightness and you can now easily control the amount of thightness you want, need.

As you can see you have woven your ropes around each other at various points of the body.

As a result of this your bondage is not going to go anywhere and you have all the time in the world.

Work slowly, take your time to do it right. Your patience will pay off later.

Step 9

To finish off wrap the end over the windings in between the arm and the waist on either side of the body, using the Magnus Hitch (previous page) to secure the rope.

Your bondage is finished now and probably quite beautiful.

See, it isn’t all that difficult.

No arteries are being blocked, no nerve ends are being irritated and the Tsubo and erogenous zones on the inside of the wrists are stimulated mildly.

Single rope bondages are an excellent way to get acquainted with the use of rope.

Even though the seem simple and not as elaborate and spectacular as what you may have seen in pictures and movies, they are very effective and a good way to start your bondage carreer.

Bear in mind that the every Nawashi spent years and years just tieing simple bondages in order to master the basic techniques, before he started anything more spectacular.

The crux of Japanese bondage is in the small details, not in the big things.

The end result

The nice thing about this bondage is that is not a very threatening or demanding one.

It is not very difficult to make and an excellent introduction to bondage for both giver and recipient.

The recipient is only mildly restricted and still, although handicapped, able to move about, do all sorts of things and get acquainted with the feel of being restrained.
