Not everyone is a great carpenter. Not everyone can easily store BDSM-related furniture in such a way that it is not all that obvious what you are into and not everyone has the budget to buy fancy furniture. In these cases “the plank” will come in handy. It is easy to make, easy to store and easy to use, almost instantly.
“The plank” is nothing else but a square piece of wood. The dimensions vary, depending on the slave’s dimensions of course, but anything in a 5 x 5 foot (1.5 square meter) sort of range will usually do nicely. All you need to do is to screw rings or hooks in all corners as well as alongside the edges (or drill holes through and through) and you’re there. Of course can chose to paint it or cover it with either leather or carpet. That’s all – less than a Saturday or Sunday afternoon work.
The idea is that the slave is tied on it on the floor, on her knees with her butt high up in the air (but of course many other positions will be possible as well) and will thus be secured in position for many different forms of use, play and punishment without being able to escape her fate.
The plank can easily and quickly be stored (underneath a bed or behind a closet for example), nicely out of sight and you do not need al sorts of major activity in order to get it out and play whenever you feel like it. It can be used on the floor, on the bed or even (if that is strong enough) on a table top. And, with the help of for example a telephone directory, you can be extra cruel and make it deliberately uneven, tilted or wobbly, whichever you prefer, in seconds.
