Anatomy of Suspension – The Fish

Probably the most powerful part of Sakáma it its name – especially when combined with the female sexual “scent”. In fact, this suspension is most frequently used to introduce more suspension.

What goes for every head-down suspension goes for Sakáma as well – it can not be maintained for very long. But – as is obvious – it is not very difiicult to go from this one to Ya, Issu, Haktúcho or Béddò in a few steps. For that reason more experienced Nawashi (especially when performing) will – if their partner can handle it – use Sakáma as an introduction to other – longer suspension. It simply is quite a spectacular start, especially for a performance.

The suspension does not always have to be ankles-only as you can see. As a matter of fact, having an extra suspension rope around the waist will help – especially for less experienced recipients – to maintain the position. Plus, it is a useful “safety break” (quite literally) in the event the ankle ropes become undone or have to be cut in the event of an unforseen emergency.

For other safety and health issues please read the description of Kané. Everything that is true for Kané is true for this position as well.

Sakáma is frequently combined with pain impulses: stick teasing, clamps, wax play, swaying the recipient around, hairpulling and such. Since the recipient has little other option but to endure what is being done to her and gets herself into more trouble and pain if she tries to wriggle or escape the torment, the pain impulses – even if mild by themselves – will be considered quite intens.

Other Nawashi prefer to have their partner just “hang around” for a while before they introduce more suspension and/or other play.

You need to be careful when tieing and make sure that the rope in above (since this in an inverted one actually unter) the ankle joint (i.e. around the shinbones), to prevent injury.
