Protocol, Positions

Kneeling, standing, sitting ……… basically pose can – and probably will – be turned into a position. Going from pose to position is what happens almost naturally in just about every BDSM relationship. And actually it is a lot of fun. And it may not be all that easy. But isn’t that what BDSM is all about?

Break Away From The Crowd

As always … no matter what you read, see or hear, there are NO general ways to do things. There is only one way …. your way!

With a paraphrase on the Paul Simon song …… “there are 50 ways to kneel” (and probably more). Yes, some specific forms of BDSM, such as Gorean, have very specific positions for very specific situations. They are in fact a form of body language. But these are not THE positions. Do what feels right for you.
from pose to position

A pose is just a pose, a position is a work of art. It requires great attention for detail, effort and training.

The Fairground Attention song “perfect” springs to mind when talking about positions. Yes, it has got to be perfect. Regardless what it is. To the last detail. Each position should be an expression of the determination of the slave. It truly has to be a work of art. Meaning that what you first and foremost want to look for is aesthetics.

Regardless the position itself, these are probably (some of) the ingredients you are looking for:

• Beauty – the position in itself has to be eye-pleasing and preferably should underline the slave’s key features.

• Access – do you, for example, want her genitalia exposed? Her breasts sticking out? or easy access for your whip or cane?

• Effort – it should be a noticeable effort for the slave to maintain the position to perfection, especially for a longer period of time.

• Charisma – what do you want the slave to radiate? Sexiness? Submission? Beauty? Availability? Humility?
